Toddler Program

Toddler 1 & Toddler 2 Programs

Picture
Our exciting toddler classrooms are designed for children ages 1 - 3 years of age. Outdoors, the toddlers enjoy playing on their own safe playground complete with fun riding toys. Our toddler program uses the Pinacle Curriculum and focuses on skills in the development areas of language, motor development, music, and art.

Our toddler curriculum works to develop language skills with your toddler. Our teachers make a point to maintain eye contact and respond to the child's verbal and non-verbal communication. Studies have shown that a positive response from the adults creates and incentive to further develop language skills. In fact, when a toddler is consistently included in communication, she will be ahead of her peers in language skills.

Toddlers spend time reading each day. Not only does this develop a love of the written word and vocabulary, it aids the child in developing concentration, word recognition, and tracking skills that will later be needed for reading.

Motor development is another important part of a toddler’s life. We provide many age appropriate activities for developing both large and fine motor skills.
Music is a joyful part of each day in our toddler program. It helps develop a child’s coordination and rhythm. Listening to music can calm a child down as well as lift her spirits. Music increases connections in the brain.

The teachers develop various art activities throughout the year.  Art helps stimulate your child’s imagination. Art is also a great way to build your child’s fine motor skills and receive sensory stimulation, as well as develop an appreciation for different mediums and styles of art.

Each day, we spend time outside playing on the playground. It is a fantastic way for your child to socialize, release energy, and use large motor skills.
