After an extensive evaluation process, Children’s Academy of Northlake has been “Accredited with Quality” (the highest level awarded) by the Georgia Accrediting Commission.

Private Pre-Kindergarten (ages 4 & 5)

Our private pre-k program helps prepare your child for kindergarten. Carefully planned activities are selected based on state standards for cognition, literacy, movement, math and science, music, art and social emotional learning. Experienced teachers develop phonetic awareness and pre-reading skills. Some of our classroom graduates have even enrolled in Kindergarten as early readers! |

Additionally, the Pre K curriculum provides the opportunity to develop the whole child. In addition to academic work, all students are involved in classroom jobs, character development, manners, behavior expectations, and so much more. These key experiences create a strong foundation for a lifelong learning.
You may find your child helping you at home with house work. Daily class room chores such as sweeping, dusting, wiping tables, and helping with dishes all give the child a sense of ownership in the environment and belonging to the community. Our goal is to foster independence, confidence and high self-esteem through our comprehensive classroom environment.

With a careful balance of play and structure, individual and group learning experiences, your child’s needs are met and he or she is viewed as an important individual. With opportunities throughout the year to develop social skills through practiced cooperation, negotiating between peers and problem solving, many new accomplishments take place. Our exclusive Kindergarten Readiness Workshop is delivered to parents in the spring to bridge the gap from summer to fall.
Some After School Pre-K children join our class as they arrive from their home school at 2:45 pm each day. If you would like your child to attend the after school program at Children’s Academy of Northlake, there is transportation offered to and from several elementary schools in the area. Your child will be offered additional learning, group activities, outdoor play, Spanish and indoor games.

Our dedicated teachers, who receive ongoing professional development training, support our enrolled children by nurturing and teaching them in a gentle but effective manner.
